The beginning...June 6, 2002
Plans for a new training effort to be located in the southern part of Tennessee began in February, 2002.  Jerry Ladd, evangelist for the church at College Grove, approached his elders to see their interest.  The elders were excited about the opportunity to begin a new effort in this area.  The brethren at the College Grove congregation, with assistance from James McGill, long time educator and former director of the Nashville School of Preaching and Biblical Studies, immediately went into action!
Michael A. Stewart was asked to serve as director in March, 2002.  In May, 2002 Jeff Archey was asked to serve as associate director.  June 6 saw forty-four people in attendance, consisting of students, instructors, special friends and family, as well as the eldership of the College Grove congregation.  31 students received credit from the summer quarter courses!
The fall quarter witnessed 50 to 60 enrolled which established a nice pattern of growth for the school.  Eagerly we anticipate another great quarter in the spring!
